<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion device comprising a guide rail having a U-shaped cross section, and a slider arranged in a U-shaped recessed portion of the guide rail, preventing sleeve portions of the guide rail from being deformed to be opened in the cross direction while suppressing a weight increase and a cost increase. <P>SOLUTION: A female screw ( a bolt mounting hole) 15 of the guide rail 1 is formed outside of rolling surfaces 12a of both sleeve portions 12 in the cross direction.
