PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool positioning device simple in structure and capable of improving machining accuracy and working efficiency. SOLUTION: Hollow cylindrical rings 8A1-8A3 are equipped with holes 8a which are fitted to a tool at the center parts in the direction of an axis O for being mounted to the tool to position a tip of the tool. The rings 8A1-8A3 are formed with upper end surfaces 8Au of the axis O direction on surfaces vertical to the axis O. The rings 8A1-8A3 have inclining surfaces 8Ad which expand upward from lower ends of the axis O direction. In this case, the inclining surfaces 8Ad may be taper surfaces where angles to the axis O are at 5-85 degrees, or may be curved surfaces where angles between the tangents which contact outer edges of the holes 8a and the axis O are at 5-85 degrees.
