PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an effect in restraining an excessive rise in temperature in an area except a paper sheet-passing area and restrain an influence on a magnetic field during heating in an IH (induction heating) system fixing device. SOLUTION: A fixing device 14 includes an induction heating coil 52. Magnetic paths are formed around the heating coil concerned by arch cores 54, side cores 56 and a center core 58 to heat by induction a heating belt 48. A blocking member 60 is provided on the external surface of the center core 58, and the center core 58 is rotated to move the blocking member 60 to a retracting or blocking position to change the magnetic paths. Magnetism-adjusting members 90 are fixably arranged between the center core 58 and the heating belt 48 and between the induction heating coil 52 and the heating belt 48. The magnetism-adjusting members 90 have no influence on a magnetic field, when the blocking member 60 is located at the retracting position, and blocks the magnetism, as the whole, when the blocking member 60 is located at the blocking position.
