PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery remaining amount monitoring device that monitors a battery remaining amount by using a charging cable. SOLUTION: The battery remaining amount monitoring device monitors a remaining amount of a battery mounted in a vehicle. The battery remaining amount monitoring device includes: a battery controller that detects a battery remaining amount so as to calculate battery state of charge information corresponding to the remaining amount and controls a charging current flowing in a charging power line in accordance with the battery state of charge information; and a current monitor part that monitors a charging current by a current sensor and calculates the battery remaining amount by detecting the battery state of charge information from the charging current so as to display the battery remaining amount.
