PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for the record of a game of Shogi excellent in flexibility which can enjoy Shogi without spoiling taste from ancient times by employing the existing pieces and the existing Shogi board as it is. SOLUTION: If a person performing moving first moves a piece 700 and pushes a Shogi game button switch 432A, one's own waiting time counting is interrupted, the waiting time counting of the other party begins, and furthermore that effect is informed from a Shogi game clock 432 to a Shogi game place side personal computer 410. Thereupon, the Shogi game place side personal computer 410 fetches an image on a board face by a corresponding camera 422. The image on the board face is sent to an image processing personal computer 300 through a network hub 500, image processing is performed by a method of comparing the image on the board face, which is fetched at the last time, and the last picture, considering the movement of a piece, and utilizing information on a captured piece, the movement of a moved piece 700 is grasped, and the record of the game of Shogi is performed.
