<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which is available as an anti-theft device, by making use of an existing navigation device for theft prevention, without having to add an exclusive anti-theft device. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation device includes: a base unit 10 to be attached to a body of a vehicle; a front panel unit 14 to be removable attached to the base unit 10 and connected thereto and having a navigation function to display map data on a front panel and a vehicle location on the map data; and an authentication unit 30 for authenticating the connection between the base unit 10 and the front panel unit 14 and allowing activation of an electric controlling device of the vehicle upon authentication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
