PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet ejection head which is stably and ultra highly accurately aligned by a simple alignment method such as stroking and is inexpensively materialized, and to provide an ink cartridge and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid droplet ejection head includes an alignment reference surface in its outer side. The reference surface (110) has a vertical surface (111) formed by anisotropic etching of a silicon substrate, and the vertical surface (111) is covered with a metal film or a silicon nitride film.
