<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert molding technology having a shell and a contact, capable of effectively manufacturing the connector, capable of meeting the need of reduction in height and size, and also capable of improving simplicity and the high-speed of a manufacturing step. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An insert molding system 100 includes a shell supply device for supplying a chain-shaped shell piece, a contact supply device for supplying chain-shaped A, B contact pieces having a plurality of contact parts and carriers, an array apparatus 109 for overlapping the shell piece and the contact piece, a conveying device 115 for conveying the shell piece and the contact piece overlapped in the array apparatus 109 to a mold 112, and a mold device 111 for insert molding by positioning the shell piece and the contact piece in the mold 112. The conveying device 115 is provided with a moving mechanism for changing a relative position between the shell and the contact piece while overlapped shell piece and the contact piece are conveyed from the array apparatus 109 to the mold device 111.
