<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for processing paper document by which the leakage of secret information recorded on the paper document is prevented, and the load to environment is small. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A printing surface Ps of paper P is rubbed while it is heated by a toner removing roller 4A being a heat roller. Thus, toner T fixed on the printing surface Ps of the paper P is softened and adheres to a heating member, and is dragged on the paper by the toner removing roller 4A and spread fast. Thus, information printed on the paper P cannot be read. Accordingly, the leak of the information recorded on the paper P is prevented by a simple means having small load to the environment without using a special chemical or the like, and the paper P is served for recycle as good-quality pulp materials.
