<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently eliminate soil or the like sticking to a screw of an excavator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This eliminating apparatus includes: a moving body lifted along a rail provided at a leader; a covering cylinder 5 rotatably provided at the moving body; a rotating drive mechanism for rotating the covering cylinder 5; and an eliminating plate 7 provided at the covering cylinder 5. The eliminating plate has a larger tilt angle than a fin of the screw S, and the tip of the eliminating plate ahead in the rotating direction of the covering cylinder 5 is brought close to the surface of the screw S, while a front portion in the rotating direction of the covering cylinder 5 rather than the tip of the eliminating plate is cut out to form an open part 6.
