PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine which can ensure exact releasing action in spite of some clearance at a locking part. SOLUTION: The press machine is provided with a support 2 on an upper surface of a base 1, a pressing member arranged at the support 2 and approaching/separating from the base 1, and a handle 6 for operating the pressing member which is rotatably arranged at the support 2. A cam member rotated together with the handle 6 is attached to the handle 6, a locking claw 13 for locking/unlocking the cam member is rotatably arranged at the support 2, and a resilient member 16 for urging the locking claw 13 to the cam member is disposed at the support 2. One end of the resilient member 16 is fixed to the locking claw 13 and the other end thereof is fixed to the support 2.
