PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of positively separating and feeding sheets and an image forming device having the sheet feeding device. SOLUTION: This sheet feeding device 5 includes an air jetting port (blowing port) 21 provided to side fences (sheet end restricting members) 13, 13 for blowing air toward stacked sheet ends, a sheet press (sheet pressing member) 23 provided to the side fences 13, 13 for holding the uppermost sheet T of the stacked sheets from above, and an operation panel 31 (specifying means) for specifying the kind of sheet. The sheet press 23 includes a heater (heat generating part) 27, and a control part 29 is provided for controlling the heat generating amount of the heater 27.
