PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely give a notice of a call from a patient to a portable master unit which a nurse in charge carries without fixing the portable master unit carried by each nurse. SOLUTION: An RFID receiving part to read a nurse ID from a non-contact IC card 8 which the nurse carries is assembled to the portable master unit 4. A control machine 7 includes a call information storage part which stores a nurse ID-extension number table associating extension numbers for calling the portable master units 4 with the nurse IDs, a call setting table associating the portable master unit IDs with the extension numbers, and a slave unit corresponding table associating nurse call slave units with nurse IDs. A control machine CPU rewrites the call setting table by referring to the nurse ID-extension number table when information on the nurse ID and the portable master unit ID is obtained from the portable master unit 4, and calls the portable master unit ID corresponding to the extension number by referring to the rewritten call setting table when the nurse call slave unit 1 is called.
