<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw compnent supply operation device in an automatic screw fastening machine, which can attain the improved operability of a screw fastening work by a worker. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automatic screw fastening machine comprises an inner cylinder 40 on which a chuck unit 10 for holding a screw component 3 is fixed, and an outer cylinder 30 movable along the inner cylinder 40. The automatic screw fastening machine is constructed as follows. An operating part 41 is provided that operates a dog 51 when the outer cylinder 30 is axially moved along the inner cylinder 40. A switching means is provided that outputs an supply instruction signal for each work cycle to the outer cylinder 30. When the outer cylinder 30 is advanced, the supply is stopped, while, when the outer cylinder 30 is retreated, switching is performed to supply the screw fastener 3. Since the switching means is incorporated in the outer cylinder 30, there is no possibility that the hand of the worker touches a switch case, leading to improved operability of the worker.
