PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to notify alarm information as a message format without passing through the external network. CONSTITUTION: A message generating part(20) generates the message in which the alarm information is included. A message check part(30) confirms whether the alarm information is included in the message. If the alarm information is included in the message, a controller(10) transfers the message to a message display part(40). The message display part displays the message and information which informs that the message includes the alarm information on alarm date. A message transfer part(70) converts the alarm information into the message format and transfers to the message generating part.
