<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly correct time information if the time information generated within a device is shifted from reference time information. <P>SOLUTION: A clock adjusting apparatus includes: a scaler (113) for dividing a first clock, and outputting a second clock; a timer (109) for generating internal time information based on the second clock; and a control means (101) for adjusting a division ratio of the scaler at a period of the second clock based on a time difference between an internal time and a reference time and a predetermined time length required for a time adjustment, and correcting the internal time so as to gradually approximate the reference time. The division ratio is a first value (RDs+Pa±1) in a portion (NcT) of a process unit time (S) as an integer multiple of the second clock.
