<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the driving efficiency of a motor, in a motor driving device which converts AC input power into DC input power by means of a PWM controlled converter and drives the motor through an inverter. <P>SOLUTION: A DC voltage command Cdc is provided to the converter 7 with a condition determining means 10 in a motor control unit 5.
