METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter, which prevents color mixing and can display an image excellent in color reproducibility and also excellent in contrast; to provide the color filter; and to provide an image display device and an electronic apparatus which are provided with the color filter.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter includes discharging ink having a predetermined composition from a droplet discharge head of a droplet discharging device into cells on a substrate where a large number of cells are formed. The method includes: a step of imparting the ink into the cell; and a step of solidifying the imparted ink to form a colored portion. A region where deposition of the ink is inhibited is provided from the edge of the cell to a predetermined width in a moving direction of the substrate relative to the droplet discharge head, satisfying the relationship of 0.5≤L1/L2≤4.5, wherein L1[μm] represents the width of the region and L2[μm] represents an average diameter of ink droplets.
