<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration that highly accurately detects a change from an operation state to a non-operation state or a change from the non-operation state to the operation state without requiring complicated work, in an optical information reader switching between a predetermined mode and a power saving mode suppressing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information reader 1 is configured such that a light receiving sensor 23 is housed in a case 2, and a read port 5 for guiding light reflected from an information code to the light receiving sensor 23 is formed on one end side of the case 2. Further, a first light quantity sensor 61 is provided on the side of the read port 5 of the case 2, and a second light quantity sensor 62 is provided on the side different from the read port 5. On the basis of the change of the comparison result of comparing a first light quantity detected by the first light quantity sensor 61 and a second light quantity detected by the second light quantity sensor 62, the predetermined mode (first mode) and the power saving mode (second mode) are switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
