<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control unit of a communication device, in which there is no need of enlarging a battery when a commercial power source fails, and communication can be secured even when a long-period power failure continues. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply control unit 60 has a first timer 110, a switch 100 turning on/off power supply from the battery 50 to an optical communication apparatus 10, a monitoring part 80 monitoring the power interruption of the commercial power source 40, and a detection part 90 detecting a hookup signal of a telephone device 30 to the optical communication apparatus 10 after the monitoring part 80 detects the power interruption. The power supply control unit 60 has a controller 70, which triggers timer operation of the first timer 110, and turns the switch 100 on/off according to the timer operation of the first timer, to supply power to the optical communication apparatus 10 from the battery 50, when the detection part 90 detects the hookup signal of the telephone device 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
