<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimode transmitter/receiver unit which makes sequential switching control. <P>SOLUTION: A setting value S11 of a dual circuit block 11 during WCDMA operation is input into a WCDMA register 12 through an input terminal 16 before a mode change. Similarly, setting value S12 of the dual circuit block 11 during GSM operation is input into a GSM register 13 through an input terminal 17. An output of the WCDMA register 12 and an output of the GSM register 13 are input into a multiplexer 14. According to a mode switching signal S13, either the WCDMA setting value S11 or the GSM setting value S12 to be selected is output from the multiplexer 14.
