STORAGE DEVICE WITH MANAGEMENT SERVER APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER AND STORAGE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for reducing the power consumption of an air-conditioner and the power consumption of a storage device.

SOLUTION: The method of controlling a plurality of storage devices and an air conditioner by a management server includes: calculating a plurality of combinations of allocating the amounts of operations to the plurality of storage devices; calculating the calorific value of each storage device included in the plurality of storage devices for each of the plurality of combinations; calculating the calorific value to be transferred to the air-conditioner based on the calorific value and the location information of the plurality of storage devices and the air-conditioner; calculating power consumption for cooling the calorific value to be transferred to the air conditioner; selecting the combination included in the plurality of combinations based on the power consumption of the air conditioner; and outputting an instruction to move the data stored in the first storage device to the second storage device to the plurality of storage devices based on the selected combination.
