<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge assembly and a portable electronic device using the hinge assembly, for automatically opening a cover body to a body, after opening the cover body at a relatively small angle to the body. <P>SOLUTION: This hinge assembly 100 has a main shaft 10, a first cam member 14 arranged on the main shaft 10, a second cam member 20 slidably installed on the main shaft 10, and a resileint member 30 installed on the main shaft 10 and providing elastic force for the second cam member 20. In the hinge assembly 100, an outside cam surface 142 and an inside cam surface 144 of a concentric circle are arranged on one end of the first cam member 14, and an outside cam surface and an inside cam surface of a concentric circle for mutually engaging with the first cam member 14, are arranged on one end of the second cam member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
