PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus, capable of efficiently using a frequency band and improving communication quality, as much as possible, when wireless communication by OFDMA and wireless communication by other systems performed within the same frequency band of the wireless communication are performed. SOLUTION: The base station apparatus of a wireless communication system for performing the next generation PHS system and an existing PHS system performed within the frequency band of the next generation PHS system, is provided with an ECP processing part 36 for controlling the side lobe of wireless communication signals, by using a window function to a sample taken out from transmission data by the next generation PHS system; a carrier sensing part 18 for specifying the frequency of a carrier in use of the existing PHS system; and a number-of-samples determining part 19 for determining the number of samples, from the frequency of the carrier specified in the carrier sensing part 18.
