PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens assembly for exhibiting a predetermined optical performance even when it is exposed to an environment where temperature varies in a large range. SOLUTION: A lens frame 10A is made of ceramic having a linear expansion coefficient that is about the same as the linear expansion coefficient (5 to 10)×10<SP>-6</SP>of glass lenses L1-L4. Preferably, a pressing ring 11A and spacing rings SPA1-SPA3 are also made of ceramic. A lens assembly 1A produced by using the lens frame 10A, the pressing ring 11A and the spacing rings SPA1-SPA3 is installed in an automobile or the like. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
