PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for easily uniformly applying a sealant in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The peripheral edge of a screw hole 26 includes an opening part 34 facing the part screwed in the screw hole 26 of the screw 33 of a cap 27, and an injection hole 35 capable of storing the sealant is formed between its screw 33 and itself. The injection hole 35 is formed in the shape of cutting out part of a screw 36 threadedly carved on the inner periphery of the screw hole 26, and is formed by boring a substantially semicircular hole along the axial direction of a rack guide storage part 20. A quantity of sealant applied to (interposed in) its threadedly engaging part can be kept uniformly and substantially constant by screwing the cap 27 while injecting the sealant into this injection hole 35.
