PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoconductor which can be downsized and used in a high-speed process so that it can be used in the present downsized, high-speed copiers and printers, which is highly sensitive to long-wavelength light, and whose electrical characteristics are not degraded and highly reliable even after repetitive use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoconductor includes: a photosensitive layer formed over the electroconductive support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains a charge generation agent, a charge transport agent and a binder resin. The charge generation agent contains an asymmetric disazo pigment represented by following General Formula (I), the charge transport agent contains a triphenylamine compound having a specified structure, and the weight ratio of the charge transport agent to the binder resin is 0.3 to 2.0, where, in General Formula (I), R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>each represent a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkoxy group, aryl group or heterocyclic group, provided that R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are different.
