ELECTRIC RANGE

PURPOSE: An electric range is provided to reduce unnecessary energy waste by only descending a heating cell contacted with the bottom surface of a cooking pot. CONSTITUTION: An electric range comprises a socket assembly and multiple heating cells(140). The socket assembly is formed inside a main body(110). A power supply unit(120) supplies power to the socket assembly. When a cooking pot(200) is placed on the top of the socket assembly, the heating cells are descended by the weight of the cooking pot. The descended heating cells generates heat by receiving the power from the socket assembly.
