PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing the damage to the outer frame of a vehicle is provided so that in a usual mode, a protector is tightly contacted with the outer frame of the vehicle and in a protective mode, the protector is projected from the outer frame of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing the damage to the outer frame of a vehicle comprises a power source, a protector(30) and a power transmission unit. The power source is installed at the inner side of the outer frame of the vehicle. The protector is installed independently of the outer frame board of the vehicle. The protector is exposed to the outer frame of the vehicle. The power transmission unit transmits the power from the power source to the protector with a vertical translational movement to the outer frame of the vehicle. In a usual mode, the protector is tightly contacted with the outer frame of the vehicle. In a protective mode, the protector is projected from the outer frame of the vehicle.
