<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector type headlight capable of obtaining a stable overhead light distribution pattern in a simple structure, by eliminating a second reflecting face that used to cause defects in the past. <P>SOLUTION: The projector type headlight 10 is provided with a beam attenuation part A on a shade 14 for attenuating a light volume of a xenon lamp 16 so as to be a volume of an overhead light distribution pattern P2 at a part where the overhead light distribution pattern P2 is to be formed over a low-beam light distribution pattern P1. As light passes the attenuating part A, a superb overhead light distribution pattern P2 is formed. Therefore, with the projector type headlight 10, the second reflecting face that hitherto caused conventional defects can be eliminated to form the overhead light distribution pattern P2 only by a structure of the shade 14, so that a stable overhead light distribution pattern P2 can be obtained in a simple structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
