<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively avoid the decline of visibility caused when enlarging or reducing optional image data in an image processor. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with: an image data acquisition means 11 for acquiring image data relating to an optional image; a character extraction means 12 for extracting a character object from the image data; a character overlap detection means 15 for detecting the overlap between the character objects in a prescribed scale for the two or more extracted character objects; a preferential character selection means 16 for discriminating one, two or more character objects from the two or more character objects overlapping each other, on the basis of a prescribed priority reference; and an image output means 17 for outputting only the discriminated character objects together with the image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
