<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail server device for allowing an auditor to browse even an electronic mail that is removed from a trash box of a mailbox by a user who transmits and receives the electronic mail and disappears from the user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mail server device 500 includes an auditor information DB 512 previously storing auditor information, and an archive section 530. The archive section 530 includes a mail transmitting/receiving section 535 for transmitting and receiving an electronic mail, a receiving folder 533 for holding the received electronic mail, a transmitting folder 532 for holding the transmitted electronic mail, a trash box folder 534 for holding the electronic mail deleted from the receiving folder 533 or transmitting folder 532, and an archive folder 536 for holding the electronic mail deleted from the trash box folder 534, and receives access from only a terminal device of the auditor shown by the auditor information to the electronic mail held in the archive folder 536.
