<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost, compact wide-angle lens that has satisfactory optical performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The wide-angle lens includes, in order from an object side: a first lens of negative power, which is formed from a glass spherical face; a second lens of negative power, which is formed so as to be aspherical on at least a first face; a third lens of positive power; and a fourth lens of positive power, which is aspherical at least on a first face. The wide-angle lens satisfies conditional formula expressed by 0<t23/t34<0.51, wherein t23 represents an interval between the second and third lenses, and t34 represents an interval between the third and fourth lenses.
