APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMPENSATING WHITE

PURPOSE: A white calibrating apparatus and a method thereof for excluding the white deviation according to the variation of brightness are provided to compensate the distorted white by designing a white detector by using a normalized Y/Dr/Db value. CONSTITUTION: A normalize unit(100) detects normalized chrominance signal from chrominance signal to the brightness signal of an input signal. A white detecting unit(110) extracts white data by color temperature by using the normalized color difference signal. A white detection unit sets up a white area based on white data by chrominance signal. A color space converting unit(130) converts the chrominance signal and the brightness signal.
