<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which suppresses consumption of useless electric power of an apparatus, when the apparatus is used in a status in which a signal which directs start cannot be received, and to provide a status migration method of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a power supply part for supplying the electric power; a starting signal receiving part which receives a starting signal which directs start of the apparatus from external equipment; a start control part which starts the apparatus corresponding to reception of the starting signal; a setting means to perform setting for connecting with a network; a stop signal receiving part which receives a stop signal which directs stop of the apparatus; a determination part which determines whether setting for connecting with the network is performed in response to the reception of the stop signal; and a power supply control part which continues supply of the electric power to the start control part when setting for connecting with the network is already performed as a result of determination, and stops supply of the electric power to the start control part, when setting for connecting with the network is not performed yet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
