<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast reception device whose battery consumption can be suppressed by limiting the reception of program information (EIT) depending on a remaining capacity of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast reception device 10 includes a battery 23 for supplying electric power, a tuner unit 12 for receiving the program information for each channel, a main control unit 17 for setting up a reception limitation to the program information received by the tuner unit 12, and a remaining capacity detection unit 22 for detecting the remaining capacity of the battery 23. When the remaining capacity detection unit 22 detects that the remaining capacity of the battery 23 is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the tuner unit 12 limits the reception of the program information based on the reception limitation set up by the main control unit 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
