<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnostic device for a supercharging device diagnosing which one of an intake-side mechanism and an exhaust-side mechanism causes abnormality of supercharging pressure, based on output of a sensor monitoring the supercharging pressure and the output of a sensor provided to the exhaust-side mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: This abnormality diagnostic device for the supercharging device 40 diagnoses abnormality of the supercharging device 40 provided with the supercharging pressure sensor 51, a discharge regulating valve 46 of the exhaust-side mechanism, and the like, when there is the abnormality of the supercharging pressure with the actual supercharging pressure excessively deviated from a target supercharging pressure. In a first determination process, it is determined whether or not there is the abnormality of the supercharging pressure, and in a second determination process, it is determined whether or not there is the abnormality in the exhaust-side mechanism based on the output of the discharge regulating valve 46 or the like. When it is determined in the first and second determination processes that there is the abnormality of the supercharging pressure and there is no abnormality in the exhaust-side mechanism, the fact that the abnormality of the supercharging pressure is caused by the intake-side mechanism is set as a result of abnormal diagnosis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
