摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling an automatic transmission capable of reducing a shifting shock in an up-shift. SOLUTION: A torque-down control means 27 for output of a torque-down command to an engine 2 in an up-shift can execute a first torque down control 27a for output of a torque down command in an inertia phase and a second torque down control 27b for output of a torque down command from a torque phase to the inertia phase. An absorption possibility determining means 25 determines whether the inertia torque generated in the inertia phase can be absorbed with torque down by the first torque down control 27a, and a torque down control selecting means 28 selects the first torque down control 27a when it is possible to absorb the inertia torque with the first torque down control 27a, and selects the second torque down control 27b when it is impossible to absorb the inertia torque.
