PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of flocs by relaxing impact upon sludge inflow, and to achieve the improvement of concentration performance and the increase of sludge throughput. SOLUTION: The rotary drum type sludge concentration device includes: a drum screen 3 having many liquid discharge holes; and spiral conveyance blades 11 provided to the inner circumferential face of the drum screen 3, wherein to one edge side of the drum screen 3, a sludge charge pipe 8 is provided, and to the other edge side of the drum screen 3, a sludge discharge port 9 is provided. In the rotary drum type sludge concentration device, tip part of the sludge charge pipe 8 is formed so as to be bent downward, and the sludge discharge port 8a of the sludge charge pipe 8 is arranged in the water face of sludge water.
