A METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT REPORT IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK AND AN APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for a measurement report in a wireless communication network and an apparatus thereof are provided to suppress the ping-pong phenomenon by avoiding the unnecessary handover between the frequencies. CONSTITUTION: A measuring unit(411) measures a neighboring base center. A measurement control part(421) controls the measuring unit in order to measure a PCI(Physical Cell ID) of all cells including CSG(Closed Subscriber Group) cells and macro cells when measuring the handover between the frequencies. If the valid cell having the measured value satisfying the measurement report condition exists, a message processor(431) confirms the PCI range information used for CSG cells as exclusive. If the range information exists, the measurement report message is generated.
