<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved heat dissipating apparatus for a large-sized battery pack which controls and limits the heating of a battery in order to improve the life time of the battery which includes cycle and calendar life times. <P>SOLUTION: The battery pack includes a flat housing, one or more electrodes, and conductive and thermally conductive tabs 404A-404Y which are coupled to the electrodes, and pass through the housing in order to be coupled to a collector panel electrically and thermally, including a tab which can conduct both currents and a considerable quantity of heat from the housing to a temperature controlling system. Respective batteries may be stacked each other for forming the battery pack having the collector panel 412 coupled to the temperature controlling system through a thermal interface.
