PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device for diametrically tightening a workpiece. SOLUTION: The chucking device includes a base member 2, a shoulder 11 forming a face to contact with the workpiece, a hole face 10, and a nose 12 diametrically projecting toward the inside. A tightening member 3 divided into multiple approximately L-shaped static elements 21 are arranged on the base member 2. Each of the static elements 21 includes a tightening head 24 arranged in a hole 5 and an operation lever 27 extending from the tightening head 24 toward the outside in the diametrical direction. Each of the tightening heads 24 projects toward the outside in the diametrical direction, engages in the gap between the shoulder 11 and the nose 12, is diametrically supported by the hole face 10, and is externally provided with a cam 25 axially supported by the nose 12. A tightening edge 26 is provided inside each of the tightening heads 24. When working, the operation lever 27 moves like separating from the base member 2 and the edge 26 axially moves inside the diametrical direction toward the shoulder 11.
