PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge apparatus capable of detecting a rotating failure of a bearing of a wire pressing roller. SOLUTION: The wire electric discharge machine 91 includes: the wire pressing roller 21 arranged at a wire traveling path 16 between a main tension roller 18 and an automatic wiring device 19 and preventing unwinding during a short-circuit failure of electric wire 11; first and second rotating speed detectors 23, 24 for detecting the rotating speeds of the wire pressing roller 21 and the main tension roller 18, respectively; and a disorder signal output means for outputting the disorder signal of the bearing of the wire pressing roller 21 based on the detected values of the first and second rotating speed detectors 23, 24.
