<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly change the length of a CP applied to the uplink and the length of a CP applied to the downlink. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A mobile station UE includes: a CP length determining section 15 configured to determine the length of a CP to be inserted into an uplink signal; and a CP adding section 14 configured to generate an uplink signal by adding a CP having the length determined by the CP length determining section 15 to an inputted DFT-Spread OFDM (Single Carrier FDMA) modulation signal or OFDM modulation signal. The CP length determining section 15 is configured to make the length of a CP to be inserted into an uplink signal be different from the length of a CP being inserted into a downlink signal.
