<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match impressions of colors of an image in a plurality of environments where various illuminations or various devices are combined. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the color processing apparatus, a partial matching point in observing a source-side image and a partial matching point in observing a destination-side image from a device profile of a source-side device and a device profile of a destination-side device are calculated (S702). On the basis of the partial matching points, a color appearance model profile of the source-side device and a color appearance model profile of the destination-side device are generated (S703). The device profile and the color appearance model profile of the source-side device are added to image data (S707) and the image data, to which the device profile and the color appearance have been added, are supplied to another color processing apparatus (S709).
