<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV receiver which is prevented from performing erroneous display regardless of the generation cause of an error in obtained teletext data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The teletext decoder circuit of the TV receiver includes a decoder part, first-third buffer memories, a data rewrite part and a comparison control part. The data rewrite part causes the first buffer memory to store received teletext data (S2), causes the second buffer memory to store the teletext data received next (S4), and causes the third buffer memory to store the teletext data received next (S6). The comparison control part compares the teltexts stored in the respective first-third buffer memories (S7), and when they all match (YES in S8), causes the teletext stored in the first buffer memory to be output (S9).
