<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device and optical equipment, which achieve bright display with excellent visibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical device includes: first optical systems 11 and 16 for forming an image of a subject; a second optical system 32 for forming an image different from the image of the subject by scanning in two-dimensional directions with light; and a third optical system 42 synthesizing first incident light L1 incident from the first optical systems 11 and 16 and second incident light L2 incident from the second optical system 32.
