PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece that would not cause the development cost from increasing and the development period from becoming prolonged, even if the arrangement of information representation formed on a dial is changed. SOLUTION: The electronic timepiece includes a plurality of electronic clock hands; the dial where the information representation pointed by the electronic clock hands is formed; a clock movement 45 for moving the electronic clock hands; and a control section 41 for controlling the clock movement 45 based on the position information of the information representation for moving the electronic clock hands to places of the information representation. Then, the electronic timepiece has a storage section 44 for storing the positional information of the information representation, and the storage section 44 can write the position information corresponding to the change in the arrangement of the information representation.
