NAVIGATION APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A navigation apparatus and method thereof is provided to improve the efficiency of time management of a user by providing detail information in order to do an additional action according to a current location of the navigation apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A navigation apparatus comprises: a controller which confirms whether detail information of a destination is stored; a display unit(406) which displays the detail information corresponding to the destination; a GPS receiver(401) which receives a GPS signal and generates a first location data; a DR sensor(402) which generates a second location data by a driving direction and a speed of the navigation apparatus; and a map matching unit(404) which generates an estimated current location based on the first location data and the second location data. The map matching unit matches the estimated current location and a map matching link in a map data.
