<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle and a control method for the hybrid vehicle, wherein fail-safe control suitable to failure of fixation of an opening/closing valve of a throttle valve is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The control device 5 for the hybrid vehicle having an engine 1, and a motor 4 driven by power supplied from a battery 3 as a driving force source, and having an intake path 6 of the engine 1 interposed with the throttle valve 7 for controlling an intake air flow rate has: a throttle opening fixation detection means (step S1) for detecting opening fixation of the throttle valve 7; and an engine control means (steps S6-S13) for changing over an operation state of the engine 1 according to an opening of the throttle valve 7, a charging state of the battery 3, and driver request torque when the opening fixation of the throttle valve 7 is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
